This summer we piloted our first adult evening class. After our highly successful Art club for children, which has been running for over 18 months now and going from strength to strength, we felt it was high time the adults had a chance to get in on the fun!

This Autumn/Winter we are offering 6 classes, inspired by the season and the run up to Christmas.

This class is the perfect way to get into the seasonal spirit, make new friends, learn some new skills and benefit from the boost in wellbeing that creativity offers. Carve out a bit of time for yourself and come and play!

We will be exploring different materials to make Yuletide crafts and will also be joined for one of the sessions by a local artisan to create a beautiful wreath for your door! There will also be the opportunity to create wreaths, and decorations from more eccentric materials, like pom-poms, plastic toys and found objects, depending on which way the group wants to take the projects.

We will also explore the different qualities of paper, to make hanging decorations, Christmas cards and garlands, creating pattern and texture through mindful drawing exercises, collage, as well as using origami, and other paper folding and cutting techniques, and using inks, graphite, paint, oil pastels, pens and other art supplies to explore the many ways to make marks. There will also be opportunity to play with other materials depending on what the group fancies, from sculpting, to textiles.

Who is it for?
Anyone who fancies a go at getting creative. No experience necessary, this is a fun, informal class. If you have a young person in your life, bring them along. Anyone aged 12+ is welcome

When/where is it?
Winscombe Community Centre Annexe, Every Tuesday evening from 7pm-9pm from the 11th of November to the 16th of December

How do I sign up and how much is it?
Weekly 2 hour sessions over six weeks:
Full price (£20 per session) - £120
Basic - £90
Concession - £60
