Art Club (adults)

Lanterns designed by The Lamplighters

This summer we are piloting our first adult evening class. After our highly successful Art club for children, which has been running for over 18 months now and going from strength to strength, we felt it was high time the adults had a chance to get in on the fun!

We will be offering 6 classes in festival arts, inspired by the Winscombe mini-festival we are piloting on the afternoon of the 19th of July.

We will be designing and making carnival masks, parade puppets, festival decor and maybe even some costume pieces or installation, depending on what the group feels, using a variety of medium and materials. Everything you make you keep, and all materials will be supplied by us. We have The Lamplighters joining us later in the term, and they will be teaching us how to make their beautiful lantern puppets, which we are particularly excited about. All you need to do, is to turn up, get creative and have fun!
